Everyone loves donuts and they go great with coffee.

Main Ingredients
 ½ cup cooking oil
 1 powdered sugar or frosting
 12 tubes of refrigerator biscuits
Directions
1

First of all, frying is always risky for yound people so please supervise your scout until they have enough experience.

Preheat about a half inch of cooking oil with a generous portion of coals underneath. I like canola oil for frying. Be careful not to allow it to become too hot and too deep the more shallow the oil the better it will fry. I am using the small dutch oven.

2

Pop the tubes and stick your thumb in each biscuit to make the donut hole. The thinner the donut tube and the larger the hole, the better as the biscuit dough will puff and expand.

3

I place two donuts at a time each takes 5-6 minutes cook. One side will brown in less than 3 minutes, flip it over, repeat and then remove with a spatula. Careful when dropping the dough into the oil or flipping as it could splash and burn your hand.

4

In a dish, dip the donuts in powered sugar and splash some on top you may find it will not stick to the donut easily so rub the donut firmly onto the powder. I think frosting is also a great option as it will look better and create less mess. This is a very easy recipe imo, biscuit donuts are actually quite filling and go great with coffee or milk. Enjoy!
