Camp Elmore Pancakes

Start your day off with some pancakes.

Main Ingredients
 1 vegetable oil
 2 tbsp melted butter
 1 ½ cups milk
 1 egg
 ½ tsp salt
 2 ½ tsp baking powder
 2 cups all-purpose flour
 1 zip lock bag

This is a very standard recipe for pancakes made from scratch. For convenience you may also use ready to go pancake mix but I like to do it the hard way plus made from scratch pancakes taste 500% better. It's true!

Pour the baking powder, flour and salt into a zip lock bag and mix it well. Melt you 2 tablespoons of butter.

In a mixing bowl, mix 1 egg and 1.5 cups of milk

Pour the flour mixture into the mixing bowl and stir it will until it is smooth.

Position your lid upside down you can use rocks or bricks. Use a generous number of coals under, the lid has to be hot! Use your vegetable oil and a paper towel to season the lid with oil (I like olive oil) every time you cook a new batch of pancakes so they do not stick it also adds to the flavor. Each pancakes will takes 5 minutes or less flip them every 2-3 minutes.

Serve with any topping of your choice. Enjoy!
