Smothered in a rich and creamy gravy, you're going to love my meatballs.
In this scenario I am using IKEA swedish meatballs becauses they are ready to cook and delicious. You can also make your own meatballs from scratch but for the sake of scouting, we are going with the quickest and most convenient option.
For vegan option use plant based meatballs you won't tell the difference.
Add about 16 coals under the dutch oven and heat olive oil.
Brown the meatballs, add your butter to the olive oil. I recommend unsalted butter if the option is available.
After the butter is melted I simply dump all the ingredients together into the dutch oven and stir with a wooden spoon until I am confident that it is all mixed and the ingredients are spread evenly.
Place 16 coals on top and reduce the number of coals beneath the dutchoven down to 12. This is a slow cook so you will need to monitor and replace the coals as needed. The lower the temperature the better you don't want to overheat because it will cause the gravy to stick to the bottom and the sauce will become clumpy instead of the rich gravy we desire.
Serve with mashed potatoes, pasta or rice. Enjoy!
